Fowey Royal Regatta 19-25 August 2012
If you’ve never raced before in a regatta, this is the one to do. Less intense than Cowes or Dartmouth, it has the hallmarks of great racing under the joint auspices of the Royal Fowey Yacht Club and Gallants Sailing Club, combined with a varied shore-side programme including both a display by the Red Arrows and two firework displays. 19 & 20 August are for two passage races to Falmouth and back. 21,22 & 23 are for racing round the cans. The final race on 24 August is a longer one for the “Tribute” Trophy & the Lloyds Bank Cup. Fowey itself is one of the prettier of the West Country ports, steeped in history, with plenty of good restaurants.
During the time on board, included in the price will be:
- Race Skipper and mate.
- Breakfasts, lunch, soft drinks/water and snacks.
- Race fees.
- Moorings, fuel, gas.
- Use of waterproofs if required.
