Learn to sail in the picturesque waters of the South West of the UK from Plymouth Sound to Falmouth

Welcome to a West Country RYA Sailing School that is a little different.

• We use Westerly Yachts, not the less sea-kindly modern lightwieghts favoured by many other schools.  Both are fully coded to MCA/RYA standards for operation in the Plymouth area and across the Channel.

• One vessel is a ketch, the other a sloop.  Both Gypsy Moth IV & Lively Lady, the first two single-handed round the world yachts of Sir Francis Chichester and Sir Alec Rose are ketches.   A ketch can give a flexibility of sail set not found on a sloop. 
   
• We offer RYA Training - both Practical and Theory Courses. 
   
• We also offer seven day fully catered gourmet sailing cruises, with the added availability of RYA Practical Training Course if required.  These will cruise either the West Country, or the coast of Brittany and the Channel Isles.   Contact us for further details.
